Joe and Kevin’s workshop

We all had a fantastic time in July and the photos on this new page proves it!

Guitar and Fiddle workshop

Kevin Dempsey and Joe Broughton are very experienced in the business of giving workshops and lessons! They have given workshops across Europe and the USA as well as closer to home for Folkworks, Folkus, Farncombe estate, and the Birmingham Conservatoire. At the latter Joe runs his own Fiddle School.

Don’t miss this chance to spend a week in beautiful surroundings listening to and playing fantastic music. What could be better than a musical holiday, where you really learn something and have a great time with no distractions? If this course is anything like they usually are with Dempsey & Broughton at the helm then you will leave Bouriege feeling truly inspired.

“we are very much looking forward to this week in Bouriege. Whenever we take on a project we are looking for things that will be really special and this week of space and time to really consider, learn and enjoy making music seems perfect. We very rarely plan what’s going to happen as everyone’s needs are so different but to give you an idea….We intend to spend time split in to the groups of fiddle and guitar players talking about and demonstrating techniques specific to the instruments, answering your questions, learning tunes etc. But also we’ll make time to play together, arranging material, experimenting with chords, giving you tips on performing……you name it! And of course I will be drinking as much great French wine as possible. Whilst this is not compulsory for you – it will help… “
